Sync Failed - Could not connect to Daylite Helper

After updating to Daylite 6.6.3 Daylite reports that Daylite Could not connect to Daylite Helper.

You may also see a message from the sync error indicator that Daylite Helper is not running or might not be avilable.

To resolve this issue follow the steps below:


  1. Open Daylite
  2. From the menu bar choose Daylite > Preferences and click General
  3. Unselect the checkbox labelled "Sync in the background"
  4. Quit Daylite

Perform steps 1 and 2 again and this time select the checkbox labelled "Sync in the background.
